BOCA RATON, Fla.—Healthy Eyes Advantage, Inc. (HEA), the next-generation ophthalmic purchasing and business solutions marketplace for 10,000 independent eyecare professionals nationwide, has announced enhanced partnership arrangements with the state optometric associations in California, New Hampshire, New York and Virginia to increase support of the independent optometric profession in those states. The new arrangements enable a heightened level of active collaboration between HEA and each state association, the announcement said. Under the new programs, HEA remains the preferred purchasing and practice solutions partner for these state associations.

In addition, the arrangements provide an increased level of both financial and non-financial support to the state associations to advance the profession of optometry and improve access to high-quality vision and eye health care.

“HEA is pleased to strengthen our long-standing partnerships with the California, New Hampshire, New York and Virginia Optometric Associations,” stated Jim McGrann, HEA chairman and CEO. “Each of these organizations has a stellar history of advancing the optometric profession and working to promote visual health. The HEA team and I look forward to working with the leadership of these organizations to further support their work and to deliver valuable solutions that optimize practice productivity and profitability to our members in each of these states.”

“The California Optometric Association welcomes our newly enhanced partnership with HEA, which will allow us to continue the important work we are doing to support the profession of optometry in California. We greatly value HEA’s dedication to our members and are pleased to continue teaming with HEA,” said Bill Howe, executive director.

Brian Klinger, OD, executive director of the New Hampshire Optometric Association added, “The NHOA is delighted to expand the partnership with Healthy Eyes Advantage to help our members succeed.”

“The New York State Optometric Association is pleased to renew our arrangement with Healthy Eyes Advantage,” stated Thomas Coté, executive director. “HEA has demonstrated its commitment to supporting the profession, and we value the spirit of collaboration that HEA brings to New York optometrists. Working together, we will continue to advance the profession of optometry throughout the state of New York.”

Bo Keeney, executive director of the Virginia Optometric Association, echoed these sentiments, stating, “HEA is a valued partner to the VOA and we are eager to work together for the benefit of our membership. HEA’s high level of visibility in Virginia, together with its financial support of our association, has made for a winning combination and we look forward to enhancing our collaboration with HEA.”
