LEWISVILLE, Texas--Hoya Vision Care,
North America is launching Hoyalux iD Lifestyle, the newest
progressive lens to feature Hoya Free-Form Design
Technology.
Hoya’s employs patented
Integrated Double Surface Technology to separate the functionality
and performance of the front and back surfaces, resulting in
“unsurpassed visual performance,” according to the
company. Hoyalux iD LifeStyle makes this technology available to
more patients with a standardized vertical power progression on the
front surface. This feature enables a natural transition between
near and distance viewing. A customized horizontal power
progression on the back surface, created by Hoya Free-Form
Technology, widens visual zones at all distances. Balanced View
Control technology integrates the front and back surfaces to
eliminate the uncomfortable perception of skew distortion and
swimming sensations common in other progressive designs.
“With Hoyalux iD LifeStyle
eyecare professionals can now offer the most advanced lens design
on the market to an even broader audience than before,” said
Steve Koufos, vice president of marketing and strategic
planning.
Hoyalux iD Lifestyle is available in
a broad range of Hoya lens materials. Patients can choose the
lightest, most comfortable lens material option for their
lifestyle, regardless of their prescription. The options consist of
Hilux 1.50 Standard plastic lens for moderate prescriptions; Hoya
Phoenix, a safe, tough, light and clear lens to benefit almost any
patient; Eynoa 1.67, a thin and lightweight lens material that is
strong and durable. Hoyalux iD LifeStyle also includes a choice of
Super HiVision or HiVision with View Protect anti-reflective
coatings. Two lens designs, Hoyalux iD LifeStyle for standard frame
sizes and Hoyalux iD LifeStyle cd for smaller fashionable frames,
give patients additional choices.
