Running a business in this ever-changing environment is not an easy task
and today’s optometrists are no exception to the rule. Faced with
problems to solve on an almost daily basis, the OD of 2013 needs to be a
Renaissance man/woman—part business manager, IT professional, digital
media guru and marketing expert, all rolled into one.

The profession of optometry seems to foster innovation. Perhaps
because it is a field that’s constantly in flux, its practitioners are
always being challenged to come up with new ways to solve problems.
