Bold Face explores the cult of celebrity and the styles, trends and brands that stars show off in movies, at events and living their daily lives. To be considered for inclusion please contact senior editor, Deirdre Carroll.

Regular readers of this feature know that Bold Face has a soft spot for handsome men is eyewear. Since it’s been too long since we dedicated an edition to them, this week we’re in Cannes asking “Hey, good looking, what’s cooking?”...

His directorial debut, Mark Ruffalo’s “Sympathy for Delicious,” a movie about the relationship between a priest (Ruffalo) and a paralyzed DJ (Christopher Thorton), premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in 2010 to favorable critical attention and is now out in wide release. The Academy Award nominated actor has little time to enjoy that success though since he is now over at the 64th Annual Cannes Film Festival stumping for a yet to be filmed comedy also starring Tim Robbins about sex addicts called “Thanks For Sharing.” No doubt just about the time that this ruggedly handsome actor is done with his duties in the South of France, he will have to be back in the States to work on his role as Bruce Banner (aka. The Hulk) in 2012’s highly anticipated action flick, “The Avengers.” Until then Mark has his stylish Lacoste L103S from Marchon to protect him from the glare of France’s sun… and its paparazzi…

Jude Law is currently in the South of France at Cannes fulfilling his role as jury member for the prestigious film festival. In fact, we have a picture of the handsome devil waving to fans outside the Palais des Festivals during the 64th annual festival wearing the John Varvatos V768 “Classic Shades” from Base Curve with a smartly tailored suit. But don’t let his juror role mislead you, the dashing Brit has several upcoming movies due out, “Contagion,” “Hugo Cabret,” “Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows,” and “360,” just to name a few. He also just signed on to appear opposite Keira Knightley in the new “Anna Karenina” movie as her cuckolded husband. Jude Law cuckholded? How is that possible?...

He’s pushing 50, he’s got six kids and he’s practically married to one of the sexiest women ever created, yet none of that diminishes Brad Pitt's allure even a little bit. Still considered one of the sexiest and handsomest men in Hollywood, Brat Pitt has graced the South of France with his presence to promote the highly-anticipated Terrence Malick-directed film “The Tree of Life” in which he stars and will debut at the festival. And its a Brangelina affair at Cannes this year as Angelina Jolie is also promoting a film at the annual festival — “Kung Fu Panda 2.” Clearly the couple are no strangers to airports and here Brad was snapped headed through security at LAX in the always stylish David Yurman DY 620 sunglasses from Legacie

Alexander Skarsgard embodies a Bold Face Favorites trifecta – tall (6’4!), gorgeous and exceptional taste in sunwear. Here he is channeling another well known leading man in the Persol PO0174 (aka. The Steve McQueen Edition) from Luxottica. This year, this five times Sweden’s “Sexiest Man” will appear in the thriller “Straw Dogs,” out in September and the beautifully shot apocalypse drama “Melancholia,” being screened now at Cannes. Bold Face just hopes all this big screen attention doesn’t divert this Nordic hottie from appearing in the fifth season of HBO’s “True Blood.” We’re kind of obsessed. Its too bad Alex can’t be tapped to reprise his role as Meekus in the rumored “Zoolander” sequel… unless of course Ben Stiller can come up with a plausible way to resurrect three dead male models…
