Rodenstock USA Expands Sales Territories for Its Brands, Including Porsche Design Eyewear

As of July 1, Rodenstock USA has been the exclusive distributor of Porsche Design Eyewear in the U.S. and Canada, as VMAIL reported. Since the addition of that collection, the company has been aggressively expanding its sales territories, according to Rodenstock USA president, Chris Juergens. Currently, the company is selectively working with accounts in Massachusetts as well as New Jersey/Pennsylvania/New York City, Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, Georgia, North and South Florida, Greater Houston, Kansas City, St. Louis, Southern California and Portland to Seattle.

Cutler and Gross Ltd Signs Exclusive Licensing Agreement With Paul Smith Ltd.

Thursday, December 6, 2018 12:18 AM LONDON—Cutler and Gross and Paul Smith have entered into a three-year agreement for the design, production and worldwide distribution of Paul Smith sunglasses and optical frames. The agreement will utilize Cutler and Gross’ production expertise that spans almost 50 years with the aim to strengthen Paul Smith’s position in the luxury eyewear market, the company stated. All of the frames in this collection will be made by hand at Cutler and Gross’ factory in Northern Italy and fitted with lenses supplies by Dalloz Creations, the French sun lens manufacturer for the high-end market.

Pair Eyewear, Direct-to-Consumer Kids Eyeglasses Start-Up, Raises $1 Million in Seed Funding Round

Friday, November 9, 2018 12:15 AM NEW YORK—Pair Eyewear, a customizable eyeglasses brand for kids established upon a direct-to-consumer model late last year, has closed a $1 million seed round of funding, a spokeswoman confirmed to VMAIL. The investors included Bolt, Corigin Ventures, Outbound Ventures, Precursor Ventures.  Pair calls itself a “new children’s eyewear brand” that intends to offer “the high quality, affordable, and fun glasses your kids deserve,” according to the company’s website. In its “launch” announcement in August, Pair said it offers five base frame shapes for children ages six to 14 and a choice of up to 10 colored interchangeable top frames per style.
