InceptionFounded in 1988 Program Results Have provided free vision care and eyewear to more than seven million people in need around the world and have donated millions of dollars toward research and education. Global Eye CareTo date have had 191 clinics in 34 different developing countries helping over three million people. The majority of eyewear distributed is recycled. Regional Eye CareProvided in North America, Australia and China. There will be 25 weeks of clinics in 2010 helping over 25,000 people. They receive new eyewear. There are three vision vans in North America. Community Eye CareHelp those in need in local communities through in-store and outreach programs. Help about 200,000 people annually. Preventative Eye CareProvides research grants (approximately $250,000 plus) to find better treatments and cures for vision threatening diseases and disorders. The Doctor Stanley Pearle Scholarship Fund was founded in 2008 and provides $10,000 annually in scholarships to optometric students across North America.
