Program Results

• VisionSpring has provided over 370,000 pairs of affordable reading glasses and sunglasses to skilled workers in rural communities across the developing world. Each pair of eyeglasses restores an individual’s self-reliance and sustains his/her livelihood. To date VisionSpring has sparked over $38 million in economic growth for those in need by spreading access to affordable eye care.

• VisionSpring has created sustainable jobs for over 3,800 entrepreneurs across the developing world selling our affordable eyeglasses. Using our “Business in a Bag” - a kit containing everything a local woman or man needs to sell eyeglasses - VisionSpring provides access to sustainable vision care in the world’s poorest, more remote communities while creating much-needed jobs.
