Aurora, Ohio—The College of Optometrists in Vision Development (COVD) has launched a Visions of Hope Vision Therapy video contest, in anticipation of August as National Children’s Vision & Learning Month.

Details about the video contest are posted on the COVD’s blog. Anyone can share their story of success with vision therapy via the contest, which can be entered on Facebook by uploading a video; if selected for the contest, thousands of people will view and vote for the best video. Those who ‘like’ the COVD Facebook page can vote. Deadline for entry is Aug. 10.

During August’s National Children’s Vision & Learning Month, the COVD will be doing a live webinar with Jillian, from the book: Jillian's Story: How Vision Therapy Changed My Daughter's Life, a book written by Robin Benoit  about her daughter’s experiences with vision therapy. Jillian will announce and play the winning video from the Visions of Hope contest, and the video will also be shown at upcoming COVD Annual Meeting in Las Vegas to be held Oct. 25 to 29 at the Tropicana Hotel.
