Latest News Allison Signs License for Replay Eyewear By Staff Wednesday, November 28, 2012 12:24 AM MILAN— Allison S.p.A. has signed a license with the Asolo, Italy-based, Fashion Box S.p.A., owner of the brands Replay, Replay & Sons, We Are Replay and Red Seal, for the Replay branded production of sunglasses and optical frames for men and women. The license has an initial term of five years with a worldwide distribution structure based on different levels. The collection will be sold directly to opticians in all the major European countries, while in the rest of the world it will be available through selected distributors. The sun collection will also be carried in all the Replay stores. The first Replay collection from Allison is scheduled to launch in March 2013 at Mido. "We are proud to offer our know how and our creative team to a brand that, in more than 30 years, has been able to consolidate a very strong identity in the world of casual,” said Giorgio Antichi, CEO of Allison. “The agreement with Replay is part of the new Allison’s strategy which focuses its development on highly selected long term projects, in order to share solid long term growing processes with selected partners.” Replay is an Italian brand of denim and casual wear, accessories and shoes for men, women and children. Part of the Fashion Box S.p.a. group, it was created in 1978 by Claudio Buziol and is a world leader in the field of jeans. Fashion Box, founded in 1981, is today present in all European markets, the Middle East, Asia, America and Africa. The wholesale distribution network has 3,000 points of sale, including approximately 200 retail stores, in over 50 countries. Matteo Sinigaglia, CEO of Fashion Box , added, "The partnership with Allison is part of our brand extension strategy and it is planned to make Replay’s world more complete and engaging. In order to give an even stronger boost to this important product category, we have chosen to rely on a new experienced business partner, Allison, who shares with Fashion Box the propensity to experimentation and a strong attention to quality.” The Replay Eyewear license had previously been signed with Marcolin S.p.A in 1997 and expires at the end of this year.
