Harvey Ross’ HMR Holdings to Partner With King Baby Studio to Relaunch King Baby Eyewear

NEW PROVIDENCE, N.J.—King Baby Studio, the Santa Monica-based jewelry and accessories company, is partnering with Harvey Ross and HMR Holdings to relaunch an expanded and updated King Baby Studio Eyewear Collection.

King Baby Studio, well known in celebrity and fashion circles, is rooted in the freedom of the open road and the spirit of rock n’ roll, the company said. King Baby Studio handcrafts jewelry and accessories that unite chunky sterling silver with precious stones and leather, all made in the U.S.

Mitchel Binder, King Baby Studio’s designer and owner said, “We believe that Harvey and his group are best suited to launch the King Baby collection and support its growth properly. Our partnership will allow me to continue to design and ensure that the King Baby Lifestyle translates to the eyewear line in order to satisfy its ‘chosen few.’”

Ross will be setting up a separate division of HMR Holdings to service and support the manufacture and distribution of King Baby Eyewear worldwide, Ross told VMail, adding that he will work on the project alongside optical veteran, Mitch Barkley. Ross will also be creative director of King Baby Eyewear, adding, “When I visited the showroom in Santa Monica, I was so inspired. Mitchell Binder breathes life into his creations and really lives the motto of the brand. I am honored to work with such a respected designer.”

Binder founded King Baby Studio in 2000. Over the years, King Baby, with the spirit “For The Chosen Few,” has gained international success with a large celebrity following and has partnered with legendary brands including Harley Davidson and Fender. Most recently, the company opened a custom shop in Nashville, Tenn.

A King Baby Studio eyewear line had debuted to some U.S. optical retailers prior to the new partnership. Ross said the collection is being reorganized and reconstructed with the new collaboration. An expanded King Baby Studio eyewear collection, which will feature sterling silver pieces, precious stones and 18-karat gold, will be previewed to a select group of retailers during Vision Expo East in N.Y. and the new line will officially debut during Vision Expo West in the fall.
