NEW YORK—Lighthouse International hosted a free jazz concert at its midtown Manhattan headquarters on Feb. 3 that showcased the talents of artists affiliated with its Filomen M. D’Agostino Greenberg Music School.

The concert, which took place at the Academy Theater, a state of the art facility that is the East Coast home of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, featured Brazilian drummer, percussionist, composer and educator Vanderlei Pereira and his Brazilian jazz group Blindfold Test. Pereira was joined by veteran vocalists Frank Senior and Lynnette Tatum, and Matthew Whitaker, a 10-year-old rising star who played piano and drums.
