ATLANTA—Thomas Eye Group has announced the acquisition of Tucker & Associates Eye Care and Laser Center, adding one new location. Located in the Johns Creek community, Thomas Eye Group is looking to expand and provide eyecare to the ever-growing Atlanta community. Thomas Eye Group is pleased to partner with Dr. Robert Tucker, MD, who will be staying with the practice, increasing the capacity to provide excellent patient care that will focus on laser cataract procedures and expert treatment of eye disease.

With nearly three decades of experience, Dr. Tucker has held various leadership positions at Northside Duluth and the Georgia Society of Ophthalmology. Several long-standing seasonal staff members from Dr. Tucker’s practice are joining the team, bringing decades of dedicated service experience. Together, this team of seven boasts over 80 years of collective expertise.

Ben Seals, CEO of Thomas Eye Group, stated, “I am thrilled about this opportunity, not only for Dr. Tucker but for our entire team at Thomas Eye Group. By combining the expertise and resources of both organizations, we can offer an even wider range of services, ensuring that our patients receive the highest level of care possible.” Seals stated, “Our primary goal has always been to improve the vision and overall eye health of our patients, and this partnership is an essential step toward achieving that goal in the Johns Creek community.”

With the acquisition, Thomas Eye Group now has 17 clinics and two surgery centers serving Metro Atlanta.

Kristy Gleaton, VP of operations shared her excitement for the new location. “This acquisition marks an exciting milestone for us, as it allows us to reach even more individuals and families in need of high-quality eyecare in the Johns Creek community. With our team of skilled and compassionate professionals working alongside the experienced team at Tucker & Associates, we are confident that we will continue delivering personalized, comprehensive eyecare to new and existing patients. Our commitment to providing exceptional care remains stronger than ever, and we look forward to serving this new community with the same level of dedication and expertise that Thomas Eye Group is known for.”

The new Thomas Eye Group location will officially begin seeing patients on April 1, 2024.
