DULUTH, Ga.—One of the larger U.S. retail groups in the country reinforces its commitment to sustainability as illustrated in the just-issued National Vision (NASDAQ: EYE) Sustainability Report. The 2022 report focuses on the company’s performance across its Social, Employees, Environment and Governance (SEE+G) framework.

“Through our business relationships and the capabilities of our labs, associates and affiliated doctors, we are well positioned to manage our social and environmental impacts and create long-term value for all of our stakeholders,” said Reade Fahs, CEO. “Advancing these areas is central to our continued growth as a business, and we are proud to share our progress in this report.”

“A World Worth Seeing,” reflects the company’s continued progress, based on the trailing fiscal year and reports on its accomplishments in 2022.

During 2002, more than 1.2 million lives were impacted by the company’s philanthropic activities; new competency frameworks and development pathways were established for associates with more than 2,200 associates promoted; the company offered the first TCFD-aligned review of business activities and well as updated Code of Conduct and Board governance documents; more than 9.2 million people were impacted through business operations and philanthropic outreach; more than $3.5 million was donated by National Vision and its philanthropic foundation, 20/20 Quest; remote care was enabled in more than 300 locations; more than $339,000 was provided to employees through the National Vision Crisis Relief Fund; and the launch of an eco-friendly frame collection made of recycled plastic waste was realized.

Across its stores, laboratories and locations across the country, National Vision discloses its performance and approach relevant to driving resource efficiency in operations, managing the environmental impact of its supply chain and managing downstream environmental impacts of its products and services.
