Innovation award finalists participate in a panel discussion at Transitions Academy.

ORLANDO, Fla.—Transitions Optical climaxed its annual Transitions Academy meeting here with an awards ceremony to honor companies and individuals from the U.S. and Canada for their innovative efforts to support the Transitions brand over the past year.

Drew Smith, associate director, North America channels led Transitions Optical’s 2015 Transitions Innovation Awards program, and named the following winners:

Lunetterie New Look Eyewear, a Canadian retailer with 75 locations in Quebec and Ontario, was named Best in Marketing. The award honors an individual or company for their creative and strategic marketing tactics to effectively promote the Transitions brand or Transitions family of products among customers or within their communities.

Visionworks, one of the largest optical retailers in the U.S., won the Best in Training award. The award celebrates an individual, company or educator that has shown creativity in developing or offering training and education opportunities that include dispensing photochromic lenses, the Transitions brand or Transitions family of products.

VisionArts Eyecare Center, an independent practice in Fulton, Mo. was named Best in Patient Experience. The award is presented to an individual or company for developing a forward-thinking approach to consistently dispense Transitions lens products to meet individual patient needs.

Henry Ford OptimEyes, a 19-office regional retail chain in the Metro Detroit area, won for Best in Growth Achievement. The title is awarded to an individual or company that has demonstrated a strong commitment to Transitions Optical and photochromic growth.

• Eric White, OD and owner of Complete Family Vision Care in San Diego, Calif. was named 2015 Transitions Brand Ambassador. The award celebrates an individual who best showcases their dedication to being an influential advocate of the Transitions brand.
