MANCHESTER, N.H.—Blanchard Contact Lenses—a scleral lens designer—released cities and dates for its upcoming spring Beyond the Limbus Scleral Lens Workshop tour. Now in its seventh year, the intensive, one-day workshops—which are a component of Blanchard University—deliver comprehensive, hands-on training and tools to ensure eyecare professionals leave with the skills and confidence they need to successfully incorporate Blanchard’s innovative scleral lens designs into their practice, the company stated.

“Our scleral lenses are distinctive not only in their design, but how they are fit and the applications for which they are best used. Once introduced with proper training and guidance, the lenses speak for themselves and are quickly adopted by eyecare professionals” said Jean Blanchard, president of Blanchard Contact Lenses.

Workshop attendees will receive a deeper appreciation of the minimalist approach to scleral lens design and fitting that Blanchard created with their Onefit Scleral Lens Platform—delivering optimal oxygenation for long-term corneal health, with minimal lens mass and tear lens thickness.

Attendees will also learn how to fit Onefit scleral lenses for healthy and compromised corneas, as well as msd Select scleral lenses for highly irregular corneas. Blanchard will also be discussing their new Onefit Asian design lenses, as well as XLC—the new Extra Limbal Clearance option that simplifies fitting of Onefit lenses even further.
