ST. LOUIS—The deadline to submit online nominations for the 2017 National Optometry Hall of Fame is Jan. 15, 2017. The Hall of Fame inductees will be honored at Optometry’s Meeting 2017, which is scheduled for June 21 to 25 in Washington, D.C.

The National Optometry Hall of Fame, which is administered by Optometry Cares—The AOA Foundation, has recognized outstanding optometrists who have made long-lasting contributions to the profession since 1998. The Ohio Optometric Association originally created the Hall of Fame for optometry.

All nominees should be prepared to provide further materials for consideration, including a curriculum vitae, a minimum of two letters of support and a photo. For more information, call the AOA Foundation at (314) 983-4200 or send an email to Foundation@aoa.org with questions about the nomination process.
