LEWISVILLE, Texas— Hoya Lens of America (HLOA), the import and distribution division of Hoya Vision Care North America, announced Tuesday that it will relocate their distribution center to the Dallas/Fort Worth metropolitan area.

“The lease for our current warehouse in Torrance, Calif. expires on Dec. 31 this year,” said Michael Ness, president of HLOA. “With the rapidly accelerating cost of warehouse space in the Los Angeles area, it is a prudent time to move the facility to a central location close to our U.S. headquarters.”

The location in Grapevine, Texas is located adjacent to the DFW airport and is approximately five miles from Hoya’s U.S. headquarters. “The new distribution center will be ideally located to ensure maximum service to our customers across the U.S.,” said Rodney Webb, general manager of distribution, who will relocate to the Dallas area to run the new distribution center. “We will begin the inventory move in stages in October to ensure that we provide a consistent high level of service to our customers.

“We have communicated our plans to all of our Torrance staff and they remain ready to continue to support our customers throughout the move,” added Webb.
