WICHITA, Kansas—Independent Eye Care Professionals (IECP) has reached an agreement with EGMA LLC and A&A Optical to manufacture ophthalmic lenses and complete eyewear sets for fulfillment of programs administered by IECP subsidiaries Vision Care Direct and VCD Labs.

“This partnership provides a wider selection of frame and lens options for optometrists using VCD Labs to offer cash-pay patients and Vision Care Direct members as a part of VCD’s PLUS plans, and faster turnaround times for patient prescription fulfillment,” said Matthew Clagg, marketing and communication director for IECP. “This partnership was made with the intention of giving doctors and Vision Care Direct greater leverage and competitive edge in a market that is becoming less hospitable to independent optometrists every day.”

IECP is a network of 5,000 independent optometrists in 45 states. IECP created Vision Care Direct, a membership-based vision plan that directly connects patients with their local independent optometrists. VCD Labs was created to give doctors access to high quality materials with affordable pricing.

A&A Optical offers a selection of premium eyewear with nine established collections. Its brand portfolio includes house brands Alexander Collection, XL, Cruz, Jalapenos, Seventy one, and New Globe. A&A’s licensed brands include Jimmy Crystal New York, Crocs Eyewear and Pez.

EGMA is a full service digital lens laboratory that is the U.S. distributor and licensed manufacturer of the Rodenstock and Shaw Vision series of advanced lens technologies.
