NEW YORK— LBI Eyewear has entered into an exclusive, license arrangement with Maui and Sons for the design, manufacturer, imports and marketing of a premium line of sport eyewear and premium sunwear under the Maui and Sons brand label.

The initial arrangement is for three years and covers distribution covers the United States, Canada, and Mexico with the option to be expanded worldwide.

“LBI has interpreted the Maui and Sons brand in new and exciting ways,” said Jim Demet, executive vice president of Maui and Sons. “The optical collection looks great and perfectly represents the brand.”  The collection will be debuting this week at Vision Expo West.

Launched in 1980, Maui and Sons designs fashions for surfing and active sports. Today, the company’s products are sold in over 100 countries around the world, throughout North America, Central America, South America, Europe, Africa, Middle East, Asia and Australia. The brand’s existing range of products includes surf boards, tank tops, life vests, wet suits, board shorts, skate boards, t-shirts, tennis shoes and swimwear.
