DULUTH, Ga.—National Vision Inc., which is working to increase its store count in key U.S. markets, opened nine new locations in August, raising its total count of new store openings this year to 67 locations.

“We are pleased to expand our national footprint with the opening of these nine new locations as we continue to execute on our growth strategy,” said Bruce Steffey, president and chief operating officer. “Each of these markets provides a growth opportunity for our leading brands.”

National Vision operates five retail divisions across 44 states, including the banners America’s Best Contacts & Eyeglasses (which added eight new locations in August), Eyeglass World, and Vision Centers inside select Walmart stores.

The locations of the August store openings are: Albany, Ore. (America’s Best); Austin, Texas (America’s Best); Bensalem, Pa. (America’s Best); Bloomingdale, Ill. (America’s Best); El Paso, Texas (America’s Best); Houston (America’s Best); Richmond, Va. (America’s Best); Texas City, Texas (America’s Best); and Fort Bragg, N.C. (Vista Optical).
