MIDDLETON, Wis.— Victor Connors, OD, a prominent optometrist well known for his active involvement in advancing the scope of the profession as well as taking on visible roles in local community, state and national associations and his work internationally for optometry, passed away suddenly earlier this week. He was 68.

Visitation will be held at the Gunderson West Funeral & Cremation Care, 7435 University Ave., in Middleton from 4 to 7 p.m. this afternoon and also on Saturday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. A prayer service and celebration of Victor’s life will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, June 11, from 10 to 11:00 a.m.

Victor is survived by his wife, Ginny; two brothers, Wayne (Pat) and Tim (Vickie); his children, Sara, Colleen and Dr. Colin (Tricia) Connors; children by marriage, Dr. Ian Buchli, Sam Corwin, and John (Megan) Corwin; grandchildren, Nyla, Declan, Maeve, Zane, Annika, and William; and his German Pudelpointer companions in the field, Gracie and Joey. Victor was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Joanne.
