The Vision Council Executes Digital Eye Strain Media Tour for Healthy Vision Month

ALEXANDRIA, Va.—On behalf of The Vision Council, optometrist and medical adviser Dr. Justin Bazan and style expert Jenn Falik conducted a series of broadcast interviews last week focusing on digital eye strain, its effects on the eyes and overall body and the solutions available to help alleviate its symptoms. Resulting in 28 live and live-to-tape radio and TV interviews, as all as an Audio News Release, the series has garnered more than 8.6 million impressions thus far. In coming days and weeks, the remainder of the segments will continue to air and further results will be shared with The Vision Council’s membership, including video clips of select segments.

During the interviews, Dr. Bazan delved into what digital eye strain is, its impact on both adults and children, as well as ready-to-wear (RTW) frames with lenses built in to combat its symptoms, traditional lenses that can be incorporated into any pair of frames and contact lenses. Meanwhile, Falik shared the latest frame trends, spreading the message that individuals—regardless of age—don’t have to sacrifice style for function.

The following members of The Vision Council’s Eyewear & Accessories, Sunglass & Reader and Lens Division members were highlighted in the series: A&A Optical, B. Robinson/Legacie (RTW BluVue line), Classique Eyewear, ClearVision Optical (RTW BluTech Eyewear line), Marchon Eyewear, Marcolin Group (RTW Tom Ford line), OGI Eyewear (RTW BluLite line), FGX International (RTW Eyezen line with Essilor Group), Liberty Sport, Smith, Hoya, Zeiss Optics and CooperVision (Biofinity Energys product).
