Quick Take: Erkers 1879 is expanding it’s A.P. Collection with 12 new models, each available in 4-5 colors. The A.P. collection was inspired by the brand’s founder Adolf P. Erker, who established the family business 145 years ago in St. Louis.
Specifics: Of the new models, seven feature an acetate design with a custom metal wire core throughout the temple, hand-polished for a silky-smooth feel. All acetate color blends were custom designed by the Erkers, introducing 11 new blends. Like all acetate frames from the heritage brand, a custom German hinge with authentic steel rivets joins the front and temple, featuring a beveled design and an etching of 1879. Out of these seven models, four are women’s, one is men’s and two are unisex. The five remaining designs are metal frames with titanium temples and steel fronts. Their distinctive subdued-modern palette is complemented by classic silhouettes: three feminine shapes, one unisex aviator and one round.
Selling Point: For 145 years, the Erker family has dedicated itself to the craft of beautiful eyewear, telling the story of their family’s past with each frame.
