ORLANDO, Fla.—A record number of Vision Council members, retail and industry guests gathered here in late January for the organization’s annual Executive Summit held at the Ritz Carlton Hotel here.

Networking opportunities, for current members and a new group of Emerging Leaders, were plentiful. The varied program was based on the theme “Data Driven Leadership” and featured opportunities for leadership development and the latest in economic trends and business strategies.

New Vision Council chairman, Mike Hundert, led a far-ranging discussion about industry trends, while the Oakland A’s Billy Beane shared how he used a new view about data to transform that baseball franchise.

Generational expert Hannah Ubl talked about different perspectives within organizations and among consumer groups while Scott Klososky showed how data can be “visualized” to have impact and ITR Economics and Vistage International’s economist, Brian Beaulieu, once again provided an informative point of view about short-term and longer-term outlooks for U.S. and international businesses.
