What are you selling?
STATE was released in early 2016, and we received the line in June. We are the first non-metro optical in Colorado to have the line, and were among the first 150 stores nationwide to carry it. We brought the line in because we felt the made in the USA aspect of the frames, their trendy style and quality craftsmanship would appeal to our customers.

Who’s buying it?
STATE attracts those who appreciate quality, craftsmanship and the American-made entrepreneur. We have already outfitted tweens, retirees, and ranchers in our current STATE collection with great success. Each frame is made from hand-carved plastic and features one-of-a-kind custom hinges. Named for the streets of Chicago where the frames are crafted, each frame design boasts its own personality with distinct lines, sure to fit any face.

Why do they like it?
We live in an area that values independent, local businesses. “Made in America” has been very appealing to our patients. Most of the optical retailers in this region seem to be a little more conservative in their offerings, but we are now attracting people who appreciate more artistic and unique styles. STATE’s narrative speaks directly to that. STATE is featured in its own section of shelving so that it stands out as something special
