The Oscars are upon us; which means red carpets, glamorous dresses and heartfelt acceptance speeches. In this week’s Bold Face we highlight three ladies who are real contenders for statuette and answer the question “What are you wearing?”…

Jennifer Lawrence has already pretty much swept all the previous award shows but she is up for another statuette at the Academy Awards for Best Actress in a Leading Role for her work in Silver Linings Playbook. The movie itself is also up in the Best Picture category so there is a good chance we’ll see a lot of Miss Lawrence on the Oscars’ stage. Given her partnership with Christian Dior she will undoubtedly look flawless but until we see what she is wearing to the big show, we can tell you what she’s wearing now, the Chloé CE622S sunglasses from Marchon

Someone who might give Lawrence a run for her money on Oscars’ night is Jessica Chastain. Chastain is also in the running for the Best Actress is a Leading Role thanks to her role as a CIA agent responsible for tracking down Osama bin Laden in Zero Dark Thirty. Zero Dark Thirty is also in the running for Best Picture so chances are pretty good that Chastain will take the stage at some point in the evening. Chastain has become one to watch on the red carpet thanks to an impressive number of Alexander McQueen dresses sprinkled with enough from other designers to keep it interesting. Here the striking redhead wears the Gucci Liquid Wood sunglasses from Safilo while out for a casual stroll…

Les Misérables is also in contention for the Best Picture statuette and Anne Hathaway is the odds on favorite to win Best Actress in a Supporting Role. Still sporting the pixie haircut that resulted from her shaving her head for the role, Hathaway has become a fashion darling with her gamin beauty. Speculation is running wild on what the starlet will wear on the big night but she was recently snapped signing autographs after arriving at the Narita airport in Japan wearing the Stella McCartney 4033 sunglasses from Luxottica. The Academy Awards will air live on ABC Sunday, Feb. 24 at 7pm EST.
