The modern remake of the 1984 classic Footloose will premiere in October. The new movie stars professional dancer Kenneth Wormald as Ren, the role Kevin Bacon made famous. This Footloose remains a story about a teenage boy rebelling against a town that has banned dancing and rock and roll and Wormald channels that inner bad boy in these Calvin Klein Jeans CKJ710S sunglasses from Marchon. Speaking of dancing wattage, the role of Ariel Moore in the Footloose remake, made famous by Lori Singer in the original, is being tackled by dancer/singer/actress Julianne Hough. Hough first stole the hearts of the American public in 2007 as the youngest professional dancer to win the mirror ball trophy in the popular reality show, Dancing with the Stars, as Apolo Ohno's partner. Since then, she has released a successful country music album and filmed a few movies, not to mention her very high profile romance with a certain entertainment mover-and-shaker. It seems both our Footloose actors have ties to one woman - Christina Aguilera. As we mentioned, Wormald toured with her and Hough starred with her in the movie Burlesque. Most recently we’ve seen Aguilera as a coach on the singing competition The Voice on NBC but her voice is all over the air waves thanks to the popularity of the song "Moves Like Jagger" with fellow The Voice judge Adam Levine and his band, Maroon 5. But rumor has it the Ms. Aguilera is back in the studio recording a new album, so hopefully we will soon her amazing voice again soon.
