PENSACOLA, Fla.— Distinctive Strategies & Leadership has launched a series of one-day seminars titled “Navigating the Path to a Practice of Distinction” that will run throughout 2015. The series opened on Feb. 3 in West Palm Beach, Fla., with another set for Honolulu on Thursday Feb. 12 and in Indianapolis later this month.

Presenters are April Jasper, OD, FAAO; Katie Gilbert-Spear, OD, MPH; and Carl Spear, OD, MBA, FAAO. They provide participants with formulas to analyze and apply successful frame-pricing strategies. In addition, they conduct an in-depth analysis of contact lens inventory, and an overview of new technologies. In the afternoon session, doctors and staff members participate in separate programs. The focus for doctors is on glaucoma management and billing, while the staff focus is on new ophthalmic lenses, contact lens presentation skills and treatment areas, such as dry eye.
